Pete is an exceptional man and photographer. I met him through a mutual friend and he suggested I pose for some photographs for him. The moment I saws the pictures I was amazed. I understand that he is putting together a portfolio of his works and I am honored to write this letter of recommendation for him. Pete’s strong points include patience, confidence, he is very detail oriented, focused, and is passionate about his work. He is able to handle multiple tasks and makes his subject feel very comfortable and at ease. Pete has photographed me in a variety of places, positions and situations and has always brought out the best in me. I am extremely impressed by his talents and the outcome of his works. It is a difficult task to take good photographs when there are so many obstacles in the way such as lighting, positions, and angles but Pete is very aware of all things around that could interfere with the photograph and adjusts subjects accordingly. A shoot with Pete Fink went wonderfully. We met and discussed the shoot over coffee. He had a workbook he showed me and I had some tearsheets from British magazines I admired. We discussed the desired outcome from the shoot. What I really love about photo shoots is this: with a little planning - and a lot of luck from mother nature - magic starts to happen between the three - the model, the photographer, and the atmosphere. The weather today was perfect. The lighting was on our side and the environment (Zilker Botanical Gardens) was ideal. After we planned and moved around a little, everything fell into place and we had a wonderful shoot. I cannot wait to post the best shots. Pete loves to work with light and color - and that is so important - to capture every attention-grabbing detail. He really knows how to work with a model and to catch her in the best light, the best pose, and the best color setting.
